Equipment

  • Ice Cream Maker

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Sucanat
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 gallon Milk
  • 1 pint Heavy Cream optional
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 2/3 large bag Ice
  • 4 cups Salt for freezing - rock salt, softener salt, etc.

Instructions

  • In an ice cream maker, pour in sucanat. Add vanilla, salt, and cream (if you’re using).
  • Pour milk over the top of the sugar, vanilla, salt, and cream. Mix gently using the paddle to combine.
  • Freeze ice cream according to machine manufacturer's directions. Serve immediately or freeze for later use.

Notes

Can add other ingredients like butter-roasted peancs or other nuts, chocolate, etc. as desired. Experiment to see what you like!
